The Contemporary Fine Art Gallery Eton: Artist Biography - SHARON GREEN

Change Stylestyle switcher

BIOGRAPHY OF SHARON GREEN Sharon was born in London in 1950 into a family of creative furniture designers. It was due to this background that she turned to art in early childhood. During her school years, she was an avid artist and decided to study Interior Design. Unfortunately, due to parental disapproval, she gave up her ambition and became a Personal Assistant in a T.V. Production Company. Soon after, she met her future husband and settled into marriage and motherhood. However, her love of art never left her, she returned to College to study drawing and painting and completed a Foundation Course at Barnet College and then studied Applied and Media Art at the University of Hertfordshire. For many years Sharon has delighted clients with a variety of commissioned work, essentially being a portrait painter of people and animals, but has extended her range to more contemporary work. One of her paintings was selected from over 2,000 entrants for the 151st Annual Exhibition of the Society of Women Artists; she also exhibited and sold at the Royal Society of Marine Artists at the Mall Galleries and she has also successfully exhibited in several group shows in London. Sharon loves travelling the world and has been inspired by the richness of colours and special light experienced on her journeys to foreign countries.
