THE LATE MICHAEL SCOTT. (1946-2006)

Born in Peterhead, Aberdeenshire.

From 1956 to 1965 he lived in Hull, Yorkshire.

Michael Scott died on 29th August 2006, he is sorely missed by everyone at the Gallery.

He studied Political Science in Liverpool until 1968. He lived in Glasgow from 1969 with full-time research at Glasgow University Department of Politics. This was followed in 1971 by a lecturing post at Glasgow Caledonian University, first in Politics and then in Sociology and Philosophy. He trained in art, on a part-time basis, under John Boyd in the latter
