JOHN KEOG

JOHN KEOGH Initially trained as a car designer (at Coventry University and the Art Center in Switzerland) John has specialised in racing and road motorcycles for twenty years with work for clients such as Triumph, Royal Enfield, Buell and TVS.

As well as is automotive design work, though, John has always been working on his own art projects, mostly prints of Grand-Prix racing cars and motorcycles but recently, using his specialist knowledge of carbon-fibre composite, to produce unique organic sulptures such as the show-cased “Shark”. Based upon a Great White this takes the unique silhouette of these incredible animals and blends it via clay-modelling into a streamlined shape using the same process as that to produce racing bodywork in this expensive and decorative material.

The cast brass stand offers contrasting colour and weight to this lightweight limited-edition piece.
