GRADUATED Glasgow School of Art / Drawing & Painting BA HONS. Degree. Fine Art 1983

MUSICIAN. Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Guitarist. "Valerie & the Week of Wonders" / signed A&M Records / Rondor Music 1984. "Real Surprise" (Band's first single). Radio One single-of-the-week September 1984."Ships on the Clyde" video / "Old Grey Whistle Test" video-of-the-year runner up 1984 / Jim Gillespie Director. Created sound track for short film "Happy the Man"/ Directed by Jim Gillespie. (Now based in LA; Most recent film "I Know What You Did Last Summer". Box office top ten hit, USA.). Worked with a range of bands: "McCluskey Bros." (Original line up), "Bathers", "Heaven Sent". Supports include: Simple Minds, Lyle Lovat, Hue & Cry, Icicle Works, Del Amitri, Love & Money.

TEACHER Entered teaching 1987, St. Rochs secondary / two years.St. Aloysius College / teacher for one year. Appointed Principal of Art 1990 / 1999. Elected Artist Member / Glasgow Art Club 2000.
